The landscape is dramatic with pine-clad valleys and snow-tipped ranges. Bhutan is Buddhist, retaining respect for religious tradition.

Location:

Uma Paro sits on a tree-clad hill overlooking Paro. It is one of the main cultural centres of Bhutan and also where the countries only airport is located. The surrounding region is known as the Paro Valley, through which the Paro Chuu flows from the watershed in the Jomolhari mountain range. This area is full of monasteries and temples.

Getting There:

Flight to Paro Airport Bhutan, with some of the retreat package deals you will be met by your Uma Paro guide and driver to transfer you to the hotel. With the daily room rates you can pay an additional Airport transfer by the hotel car at US $20 per person for a one-way journey.

Children:

Children are welcome but there are no child facilities. There is no extra bed charge for children under 12 years of age sharing their parent’s room.

For guests 13 years and above the extra bed charge will be $150 USD per day (inclusive of breakfast). This rate will be subject to 20% tax and service and all corresponding government royalty fees.

Children under 5 years old are not required to pay government royalty fees.

Children aged 6 – 12 years accompanied by adults are entitled to a 50% discount on daily royalty fee rates. Full-time students below the age of 25 years holding valid identity cards from their academic institutions shall also be given a 50% discount on daily royalty fees, although FIT surcharge, visa fee and TDF fee
will be charged as normal.
