Bhutan Retreats
Retreats, led by Visiting Masters, are specialist weeks focusing on subjects such as Yoga. Usually they involve five hours of practice daily over a five-day period. They might also include Learning Seminars and appropriate therapies. A spirit of sharing is fostered among guests. This is why Retreats appeal to single travelers. Retreats also allow for unusual focus, helping those who want to reach new levels of success, supported by nutritional menus.

Archery (datse) is the national sport of Bhutan. At Uma Paro, guests can learn the technique on Uma’s range. Lessons include insights into the murky worlds of ‘jeer leaders’ and mystic rituals.
Trekking
Day treks can be tailor-made to suit individual fitness levels. Overnight camping treks are arranged during spring and summer with horses to carry the gear. Camps are set up ahead of arrival.
Mountain Biking and Cycling
Cruising along easy back roads or bashing down muddy tracks is the perfect way to become immersed in the Bhutanese countryside. Sightseeing rides depart directly from Uma Paro and take in temples, rivers and mountains.

Cultural Sightseeing Tours
Day trips through the Paro Valley and extended tours to Central Bhutan offer insights into the different layers that make up Bhutanese culture. Bhutan´s Buddhist traditions are brought to life by attending morning puja with the blessing of prayer flags.
